Maria Vittoria Carlotta Enrichetta del Pozzo della Cisterna (August 9, 1847 - November 8, 1876) was the daughter of Charles Emmanuel, Prince dal Pozzo dalla Cisterna and his wife, Louise Caroline Ghislaine, Countess of Mérode. Born in Paris, she was Duchess consort of Aosta (1863-1876) and Queen consort of Spain (1870-1873).

She died in Sanremo.

Family and children

On May 30, 1863, in Turin, she married with Prince Amadeo, Duke of Aosta, a son of King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy.

Her children with Amadeo included:

  1. Emanuele Filiberto, 2nd Duke of Aosta (13 January 1869July 4, 1931) Marshal of Italy, who married to Princess Hélène of Orléans (1871 – 1951), daughter of Prince Philippe of Orléans.
  2. Vittorio Emanuele, Count of Turin (November 24, 1872October 10, 1946).
  3. Luigi Amedeo, Duke of the Abruzzi (January 29, 1873March 18, 1933) Vice Admiral in the Regia Marina (Italian Royal Navy).

She became as Queen consort of Spain when her husband, the Duke of Aosta was elected King on November 16, 1870. Amadeo abdicated from the Spanish throne on February 11, 1873.
